Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and Covered Services
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all corporate programming services offered by newsquestfy to clients based in Singapore and internationally. Corporate programming encompasses custom software development, enterprise application integration, code audits, training workshops, and ongoing maintenance contracts. The policy covers both one-time projects and recurring service agreements. It does not apply to third-party software licences or hardware purchases arranged separately through external vendors.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices are quoted in Singapore dollars unless otherwise agreed in writing. Quoted fees exclude Goods and Services Tax at the prevailing rate of nine per cent, which will be added to invoices for clients located in Singapore. Additional charges may include travel expenses for on-site work, overtime rates for urgent deliverables, and third-party hosting or API costs passed through at cost. Clients receive a detailed breakdown before any extra charges are incurred. Currency conversion fees for international payments are borne by the client.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
newsquestfy accepts bank transfers, corporate credit cards and electronic wallets approved for business use in Singapore. Payment is authorised at the time of order confirmation or milestone achievement. All card transactions are processed through secure gateways that comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. newsquestfy does not store full card details. Recurring payments for subscription-based maintenance require a signed standing instruction form.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
A binding contract is formed when newsquestfy issues a written acceptance of the client purchase order or proposal, followed by receipt of any required initial payment. Confirmation emails detail the scope, timeline, payment schedule and applicable terms. Clients must review these details carefully before making payment, as subsequent changes may attract revision fees.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Clients may cancel a project within fourteen calendar days of contract formation provided no substantive work has commenced. After this period, cancellation is possible only by mutual written agreement. For subscription services, clients must provide thirty days written notice to avoid the next billing cycle. No cooling-off period applies once digital deliverables have been supplied or access credentials issued.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available only where services remain undelivered due to newsquestfy cancellation, material defects that cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, or where statutory rights require it. Work already performed, including completed milestones, custom code written to specification, and non-recoverable third-party costs, is non-refundable. Promotional discounts and bundled training sessions are also excluded from refund calculations.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund, clients must submit a written notice via the contact form on the website or by emailing [email protected]. The notice must include the invoice number, project reference, date of payment, and a clear statement of the reason for the request. Supporting documents such as screenshots of defects or correspondence should be attached where relevant. Requests received outside business hours are treated as received on the next working day.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of Decisions
newsquestfy will acknowledge receipt of a refund request within three working days. A technical and commercial review will be completed within ten working days. The client will receive a written decision stating whether the request is approved, partially approved or rejected, together with reasons and any conditions. Clients may appeal a rejection once by providing additional evidence within seven days of notification.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method wherever possible. Bank transfers are processed within fourteen working days of approval, while card refunds may take up to thirty days depending on the issuing bank. Clients are advised to check statements regularly. Interest is not payable on delayed refunds unless required by law.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Once source code, documentation or access to development environments is provided, the transaction is considered complete and non-refundable except in cases of proven non-performance. Subscription services may be paused for up to sixty days with prior notice; longer pauses require contract amendment. Promotional offers are valid only for the stated period and do not create ongoing refund entitlements beyond the standard policy.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments must be remedied within seven days or the project timeline will be suspended. Duplicate charges identified by the client will be investigated and corrected within five working days. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may result in temporary service suspension pending resolution. Any suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to the relevant Singapore authorities and may lead to immediate account termination without refund.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in Singapore
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights available under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, the Sale of Goods Act or the Unfair Contract Terms Act where applicable. Corporate clients should note that many statutory protections apply primarily to individual consumers; however, newsquestfy undertakes to act fairly in all dealings and to honour any non-excludable legal obligations.
